One-Car Injury Crash in Santa Barbara On Monday afternoon, a woman was injured after her car went off an embankment in a Riviera neighborhood. According to Santa Barbara’s Noozhawk, the incident happened sometime before 8:51 a.m. near the intersection of Eucalyptus Road and Eucalyptus Circle. For currently unknown reasons, the woman’s car left the road, went down an embankment and landed in some vegetation. First responders had to hike down the embankment to rescue the injured woman. She was then transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. 46,000 Harley-Davidson’s Recalled Harley-Davidson recently issued a recall on nearly 46,000 motorcycles. According to an Associated Press article, certain models could stay in gear due to clutches that won’t fully disengage. Under the right circumstances, gas bubbles can cause the master cylinder in the clutch to lose its ability to fully disengage. If this happens, a rider could lose control of the bike, if it’s started in gear. Bikes that have been parked for an extended period of time are at an especially high risk of this happening.
